A Gift from the Squirrels

Years ago, I planted nearly 100 tulip bulbs around my house which I purchased while visiting the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Recently only a handful of tulips are seen growing in the spring. Apparently, squirrels love tulip bulbs and, over the years, they have made a feast out of them. I also love daffodils, but because of my tulip experience, I have been hesitant to plant any. Well, lo and behold, I found these daffodils growing in my backyard. I believe a squirrel dug the bulb from a nearby yard and planted it to store for a later feast. I’m going to be a romantic and think of it as a gift from the squirrels. You can laugh, but such trivial things make my day!!!
